Oh I'm so new to this...

Ok here I am, this is going to be much at Mr P's chagrin (and @mummytime & @badmummy's delight), I now have a blog. So welcome if you are reading this, I promise to try to be entertaining although what I regard is entertaining you may find boring, ,mindless drivel. So if you are of the latter than I suggest you b*gger off and find another blog to read as I am a sleep-deprived mother who has more than enough on her plate to worry about than entertaining you, yes you, you know I'm talking to you.

So about me, well I am a Mummy to an adorable wee angel who I shall occasionally refer to as "the ever wakeful one" . Abbey turned the big ONE a month ago and much to my displeasure is still not sleeping through the night (for you purists out there, no she does not even manage the '6' hours).

She developed eczema on her face at age 3 months and thus the wakeful pattern started. No one warned me in 'mummy preschool' that to have a child with eczema was tantamount to having a newborn over and over (and over ... you get the picture) again. Her current torture pattern (move over CIA, she's waaay better at this) is to wake 2 hourly from midnight, then at 4am its playtime. So imagine having almost 10kgs on top of you at this pre-dawn hour, going 'deeleedley, diddle, deeleedeelee' its enough to make you reach for the whisky but alas I am still breastfeeding (sucker I hear you all say).

Reading the above you might mutter out loud, it will pass, or my Mother's favourite 'She'll go to school at 5' to you I say, well I cant as I disabled adult content on this blog.

So anyway its my birthday today, I'm halfway to 70 and all I want (no fancy paper or bow required) is a full nights sleep, seriously is it too much to ask?

I hear you, sister. I can't complain - both my girls are good sleepers most of the time - but sleep deprivation is torture.

On the positive side, MY LORD SHE'S A BEAUTIFUL CHILD!

Happy Birthday!
